GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ DONATE OVER 1,500 BOOKS TO BETTER WORLD BOOKS UK FOLLOWING INTERNATIONAL CONFEX
London, 22 March 2018:Guinness World Records (GWR), the global authority on record-breaking achievements, have donated their books to Better World Books UK - which created a throne of books to celebrate World Book Day. GWR gave 100 Guinness World Records books for every official record attempt at International Confex to mark Engage to Give; the CSR-focused arm of their Engage programme.
Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to join the history books and become the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title holder for the Fastest time to set up and topple a set of dominoes (individual). Following many attempts, including a brand-new record-breaking attempt at 22.06 seconds by Fabiana Bertin, Guinness World Records are thrilled to have donated over 1,500 books to Better World Books UK.
Better World Books UK helps rehome books, supporting literacy and education initiatives by selling and donating books that can be reused. As part of BWB’s free book giveaway event for World Book Day, the company constructed a throne using the iconic Guinness World Records books from GWR’s donation and invited the children of Pitreavie Primary School to attend and take home a copy of their favourite edition, plus some extra copies back to their class.
