The most balloons popped in one minute using an excavator bucket is 47 and was achieved by Akira Kawasaki (Japan) at Shima Kikai Co., Ltd., in Maizuru, Kyoto, Japan on 30 October 2022.
The attempt was organized by Shima Kikai Co., Ltd, is a wholesale distribution of construction/mining cranes, excavating machinery and equipment. Due to Covid, they were unable to celebrate their 75-year anniversary last year (2021). In lieu of this, they organized a two-day “75+1” event, with their customers competing in the GWR attempt on the 2nd day.
